2011 Senior Trip to Aspen
Every year for the past 12 years, the non - profit organization Challenge Aspen invites capable and deserving TSB Seniors the experience of learning to snow ski. This year, a large group of 13 students accompanied by 5 chaperones to facilitate, assist, and encourage; flew to Colorado for a week of learning, growing, managing, making new friends, and conquering a skill that few sighted or blind people get the chance to attempt. This group, like the many before them demonstrated once again that no challenge is too great to overcome when you have been taught and nurtured with support, guidance, hard work, dedication, patience, discipline, love and caring from parents/guardians, family members, teachers, friends, TSB staff, and new friends providing them with a positive opportunity.
